Caudal epidural injections are steroid injections that are given in the coccyx (tailbone or caudal) region to treat chronic lower back pain and chronic pain in the legs. This is an outpatient procedure done under local anesthesia in operation theatre with help of fluoroscopy ( X ray ) Patients usually respond well and would have effect extending from few weeks to 6 months
