Interlaminar Endoscopic Discectomy

This surgery is done for patients with disc problems and canal stenosis (condition in which nerves are compressed – clinically patient has low back pain and is not able to walk long distances because of leg pain and numbness)  It is a minimally invasive technique which is done under general anesthesia. It is done with help of fluoroscopy (portable Operation Theatre X ray machine) and Endoscope (Small tube which allows surgeon to see magnified view of the body structures on the LED screen). This technology allows the surgeon to take out the disc compressing the nerve with a small 8mm incision in Centre of back without any damage or minimal damage to muscle or bone. Patient will have immediate relief of sciatica pain and can go home on same day after this procedure
